Key Performance Indicators 2007 - EBITDA

EBITDA is one of the most universal and comparable performance indicators, and reflects the actual earning potential of a company. We present EBITDA information for 61 operators, comparison with the previous financial year, and provide a commentary on those factors that have increased or reduced EBITDA margins.

On a YoY basis the average EBITDA margin across the operators in our benchmarks shows a slight improvement for the FY 2006. The average EBITDA margin increased to 36.1% in 2006 from 35.7% in 2005. The level of improvement reported is in contrast with the experience reported in recent previous years showing a gradual EBITDA margin erosion. The results highlight a strong focus by operators on cost control and revenue stimulation initiatives.
